Job Description

The Plant Controller – GBS will play a critical leadership role within our Supply Chain Finance team in Mexico City. This position is designed for an experienced finance professional who will lead and manage financial reporting, planning, and accounting activities , including budgeting, month-end closing processes, and driving cost productivity across our North American manufacturing plants. The Plant Controller will translate operational performance into actionable financial insights , lead cost-reduction initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency. This role reports directly to the Regional Finance Lead and collaborates closely with plant leadership and global finance teams. This position is ideal for a candidate with 7–12 years of experience in finance or accounting , strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to influence and implement strategic decisions within a global organization. What’s on the menu? Lead financial performance management for assigned plants, identifying risks, opportunities, and driving corrective actions. Own and oversee month-end closing processes in SAP Catalyst, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with corporate standards. Manage and review balance sheet reconciliations , ensuring integrity and adherence to internal controls. Drive cost forecasting and productivity analysis , providing strategic insights to improve plant efficiency. Monitor and report plant KPIs , focusing on cost optimization and operational excellence. Maintain and enforce financial standards , including accurate financial BOM (Bill of Materials) management. Lead process improvement initiatives ensuring continuous improvement and best practices. Provide advanced financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to support strategic decision-making. Act as a key business partner to plant leadership , influencing decisions and guiding financial strategy.
