As part of our continued growth, we're seeking an experienced Senior Associate - Index Operations to join our Index Operations Team. This position has a critical role within the Index Operations team, responsible for the accurate and timely production of our indices. Based in Latin America, you will ensure the integrity of the daily index calculation process, manage client inquiries, and leverage technology to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with direct, hands-on experience in index operations and a strong aptitude for automation and IT collaboration. Responsibilities: Index Production & Monitoring: Execute and monitor the daily index production cycle, including post market checks, intra-day monitoring, and end-of-day closing processes. Validate source data inputs, corporate action adjustments, and calculation outputs to ensure index accuracy and adherence to methodology. Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies or calculation issues. Maintain detailed logs and documentation of daily processes and exceptions. Client Service & Inquiry Management: Serve as a advanced layer of contact for client inquiries related to index data, methodology, vendor dissemination and daily values. Provide timely, accurate, and clear responses to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with Product, Sales and IT teams to address complex queries. Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual processes within the index production workflow. Partner with the IT/Development teams to specify requirements, test, and implement system enhancements and automation tools. Create and maintain scripts or basic tools to improve data validation and operational efficiency. Assist in the creation and updating of operational runbooks and process documentation. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience in index operations at a financial index provider, asset manager, bank, or related institution. In-depth understanding of the end-to-end index calculation process, including corporate actions, rebalancing, and data validation. Proven experience with process automation, scripting (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL), or collaborating with IT teams on system improvements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, particularly around market close. Professional fluency in English is required. Preferred: Familiarity with financial data feeds (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and index calculation platforms. Knowledge of financial markets and instruments (equities, crypto, derivatives). Experience with Click up, JIRA, Confluence, or other project management/collaboration tools.
