Job Description

The Assistant Operations Manager supports day-to-day manufacturing activities and provides leadership to ensure output, quality, and operational targets are met. This role serves as a developmental path toward becoming an operations Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Participate in a structured development program to assume future Operations Manager responsibilities. • Lead, guide, and motivate team members within the Production Unit to meet operational and project goals. • Ensure all team members understand performance objectives and comply with manufacturing specifications, procedures, and production schedules. • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, improving quality, reducing waste, minimizing rework, optimizing inspection processes, and lowering customer complaints/returns. • Plan and optimize daily production activities to achieve output targets (volume and product mix) at the lowest operational cost. • Maintain strict control over all Production Unit-related costs. • Ensure full compliance with DRP activities and applicable quality and environmental management systems (ISO9000, QS9000, ISO14000). • Develop and monitor growth plans for Quality Assurance personnel within the unit. • Ensure team compliance with all company policies and procedures. • Participate in the budgeting process for the Production Unit. • Support the performance management process for personnel assigned to the unit. • Perform other duties as required. Qualifications — Knowledge Requirements • Strong understanding of global and regional logistics operations. • Ability to identify logistics requirements aligned with business goals and develop effective operational strategies. • Solid financial and analytical capabilities, including the use of business analytics to determine optimal operational structures. • Knowledge of international taxation (direct/indirect) and global customs processes. • Proven experience leading successful change management efforts and implementing continuous improvement or cost-reduction programs. • Strong, persuasive communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and professional email communication. Education & Experience Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; electronics manufacturing-related fields preferred. • Minimum 5 years of experience in at least two of the following areas: Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Materials. • Experience in Finance or HR within a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment is a plus. • Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training will be considered.
