Position Overview ArcelorMittal Mexico is seeking a CAPEX Buyer to support capital investment projects through effective and strategic procurement processes. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing the acquisition of equipment, materials and services related to capital expenditures, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance and timely execution. Key Responsibilities Manage CAPEX procurement processes from requisition to purchase order issuance. Review and analyze technical and commercial requisitions related to capital projects and major maintenance. Request, evaluate and negotiate quotations with national and international suppliers. Ensure competitive sourcing strategies aligned with ArcelorMittal’s global procurement policies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers. Follow up on purchase orders, delivery schedules, logistics coordination and contract compliance. Collaborate closely with engineering, projects, maintenance, finance and logistics teams. Support cost analysis, bid comparisons and procurement reporting for decision-making. Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements and procurement standards. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree or Engineering in Business Administration, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Experience Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably related to CAPEX, industrial projects, maintenance or heavy industry. Experience managing requisitions, quotations and purchase orders. Basic knowledge of logistics, supply chain and distribution processes. Experience working with suppliers at a national and/or international level. Technical Skills Experience using ERP systems such as SAP (MM module preferred) . Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate level). Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI (preferred).
