As an Operational Excellence Leader - Americas, you will be responsible for: Safety & Process Safety Leadership Champion a culture of safety, integrity, and operational discipline. Lead implementation ofProcess Safety Management (PSM)across assets. Ensure effective use of HAZOP, LOPA, MOC, JSA, and critical risk management practices. Support reduction of TRIR, PSIFs, and loss‑of‑containment events. Partner with HSE to strengthen risk controls and mitigate high‑potential hazards. Drive the Operational Excellence Strategy Develop, maintain, and execute the company’sOperational Excellence roadmap . Identify operational gaps and lead cross-functional problem-solving. Facilitate continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and reliability methodologies. Prioritize initiatives based on operational value, risk reduction, and productivity. Improve Operational Performance Optimize production, execution, and reliability across upstream, midstream, or downstream operations. Reduce non‑productive time (NPT) and improve rig, plant, or facility performance. Lead initiatives that reduce OPEX and support cost-per‑BOE improvements. Drive improvements in turnaround planning, maintenance execution, and equipment reliability. Standardization & Operational Discipline Establish, deploy, and monitorStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs) . Ensure compliance with industry standards such asAPI, OSHA, ISO , and internal governance frameworks. Conduct audits and maturity assessments to ensure sustainability of improvements. Digital Transformation & Data-Driven Operations Implement digital solutions (predictive analytics, digital twins, dashboards, IoT). Partner with IT/OT teams to enhance real‑time operational visibility. Develop and track KPIs: OEE, downtime, production efficiency, NPT, cost per BOE, energy metrics. Enable data-driven decision-making at all levels. Change Management & Capability Building Build organizational capabilities in continuous improvement and problem‑solving. Coach leaders and frontline teams to adopt OPEX tools and behaviors. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and best-practice sharing across assets. Guide stakeholders through operational and cultural change. Project Leadership Lead cross-functional, high-impact transformation projects. Manage project pipelines, business cases, and benefit realization. Ensure improvements are embedded and sustained through governance and follow-up. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field. 7+ years of operations experience in oil & gas (upstream, midstream, or downstream). Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Strong knowledge of process safety and operational risk management. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. Strong communication, influencing, and facilitation skills. Preferred (Not a must, but is a nice to have) Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification. Experience in digital transformation or analytics-driven operations. Experience working across multiple assets or regions. Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Engineering, etc.).
