Job description: We are looking for highly motivated professionals (0-3 years of experience) who wish to start a career as analysts in Hartree's international consulting team at our Mexico City office. The candidate for this position must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, a results-oriented mindset, and the ability to execute detailed tasks under pressure and within tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.Job responsibilities:Build quantitative and qualitative side-by-side comparisons of energy supply alternatives for clients, including CFE Basic Supply vs Qualified Supply, and other schemes as applicable. Support evaluation of Qualified Supply commercial offers, including energy price structures, pass-through concepts, term comparisons, risk allocation, and key assumptions. Support the review and structuring of energy-related contracts, including PPAs, SaaS-style agreements, EPC contracts, and O&M contracts. Support regulatory assessments related to the Mexican electricity industry, including interpretation of applicable frameworks and implications for client decision-making. Build, organize, and maintain technical and financial excel models and documentation supporting client deliverables. Contribute to technical and commercial evaluations of BESS and generation assets, including key assumptions, operating concepts, and value streams. Support the development of in-house analytical tools (dashboards, calculators, modelling tools). Prepare clear client-ready deliverables (slides and memos) with strong logic, concise writing, and executive-ready structure.Job requirements:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, Economics, Finance or a related quantitative discipline. A high grade-point average is expected. Familiarity with Mexican power sector regulation and industry terminology. Basic understanding of BESS and generation assets, and core concepts related to project evaluations. Proficiency in English, C1 or higher. Availability to travel very occasionally (if required by the project).
