Quality Superintendent (Automotive) Job Description / Objective: Coordinate and implement tools to monitor and validate manufacturing processes, as well as lead the activities of Quality Engineers (Customers, Processes, Production, and Projects). The main objective is to minimize costs due to errors and ensure compliance with the quality management system to achieve operational excellence. Main Responsibilities Team Management: Coordinate the activities of the quality operations team for both new launches and series projects. Customer Service: Act as the main point of contact for the customer on quality issues during the RFQ, launch, and mass production phases. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, VDA, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. Process Control: Maintain and implement plant-level processes that affect product quality or safety. KPIs: Communicate quality indicator results to management in a timely manner. Authority: Responsibility and authority to stop non-compliant products, shipments, or production lines if necessary. Continuous Improvement: Support problem-solving analysis and monitor progress toward objectives, implementing corrective actions in the event of deviations. Required Technical Knowledge Core Tools: MSA, SPC, PFMEA, APQP, CP, and PPAP. Regulations: ISO 9001:2015 / IATF 16949:2016. German Standards: VDA 6.3 and 6.5. Design Tools: GD&T (Geometric and Dimensional Tolerances). Systems: Knowledge of customer-specific requirements (CSR) and OEM customer portals. Competencies Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate others. Customer Service: Ability to handle difficult customers and respond to their needs in a timely manner.
