With deep rooted knowledge in the design, development and operation of transformers, Weidmann is a leading integrated solutions provider for specialized product and services in the energy sector.Role Overview The Automation Engineer (Project Engineer) improves various manufacturing processes and computer systems through designing, developing, and implementing automation. This position will focus on improvement of the facility’s safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost.ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance to ISO 9000 (QMS), 14001(EMS), and 18001 (OSHAS)Interact with support and Manufacturing areas to explore, develop, test and implement new automation systems to meet production challenges.Identify opportunities to improve the manufacturing process. Prioritize these opportunities, develop and implement project plans to address as necessary.Help manage projects by establishing/monitoring progress to milestones/deliverables. Monitor processes, observing equipment, and study methods. Implement cost reductions, correct malfunctions within processes and control critical characteristics of processes.Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within working groups for projects.Identify, evaluate, and troubleshoot equipment issues.Maintain a safe and satisfying work environment through an emphasis on continuous training, accident prevention, adherence to safety policy and involvement in safety investigations.Lead by example in a values-based culture, participating and connecting teams to company core values and uphold the Weidmann Leadership Principles of Trust, Alignment, Pride, and Accountability.Ensure reliability and operation of new equipment. Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance to upgrade existing equipment.Communicate, document, and train employees to procedures/operating practices and record-keeping systems.Maintain safe, clean work environment through educating and directing personnel on the use of equipment and resources; maintain compliance with established policies and OSHA procedures.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications; participating in team-building activities.Contribute to team effort by following the WEIDMANN Vision Mission, Values.Other duties may be required as assigned by your supervisor.QualificationsRequires a degree in engineering, or similar field.Advanced English.5 years of manufacturing and automation experience.Experience in PLCs, application of AI, machine learning, vision systems and conventional automation preferred but not required.Experience in project management and utilization of tools such as MS Project and Sharepoint.Experience using CAD drafting systems (AutoCAD drafting preferred).Experience and ability to utilize applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and ERP systems (SAP preferred).Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal relationship skills required.Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests.Must have experience with analysis of production metrics.Strong creativity, collaborative thinking, and ability to stay current on the latest related technology.Ability to work effectively both alone and with a team.Must be organized and have good attention to detail.Must have good dexterity and understanding of physical attributes of product and process.Must have good communication skills.BenefitsCompetitive salary and Compensation package.Health and life insurance.Diversity and inclusion programs.Management position in a global company.Atractive Variable Bonus System.We look forward to hearing from you soon!TO APPLY: Please send your resume to the following email: fatima.samaniego@At Weidmann we are committed to equal opportunities and growth for all talents.
