Job Description

The Finance Manager, Controllership, is responsible for coordinating and executing proper processes and controls within the Controllership area to support the organization’s business objectives. This role leads the execution of the month-end closing and reporting process according to MX GAAP and US GAAP, and the development of financial and ad-hoc reports, and procedures to meet deadlines and evolving demands of a public company. Additionally, this position oversees the cost accounting, accounts receivable, and treasury management teams, and partners with the Shared Services team to drive improvements across the accounting function to support growth and standardization. Responsibilities • Prepare monthly financial statements according to MX and US GAAP and reports in collaboration with internal teams. • Perform financial and variance analysis versus prior year. • Respond to monthly performance and balance sheet queries from Corporate and local stakeholders in a timely manner. • Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. • Oversee valuation and accounting of inventory, including standard cost accounting, variance tracking, and reconciliation with 3PL partners. • Participate in inventory management and accounting for both on-site and 3PL inventories. • Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely recognition of revenue and collections, and active monitoring of AR Aging. • Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments, discounts utilization, and monitoring of AP Aging. • Properly account for capital expenditures, disposals, depreciation, and track capex budgets. • Oversee cash management and treasury in collaboration with the Director of Finance. • Promote compliance with internal controls over financial accounting and reporting. TEAM DYNAMICS: • Manages relationships with team members as well as resources in GBS supporting Mexico. Additionally, this position interacts with different positions and organizational levels across the company. LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Coordinates the work of 4 staff members: one Supervisor, two accounting analysts, and the Employee’s savings fund analyst. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a must. CPA or similar accounting certification is desirable but not necessary. Advanced level in English, oral and written. Experience: 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an Accounting Firm (Big Four- KPMG, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, PWC) in external audit (Assurance) or internal audit. Experience in financial reporting, data analytics, systems implementation. Exposure to a corporate environment and international experience is desirable. 3+ years of experience supervising a team Skills/Certifications: Proficiency in Mexican and US GAAP Experience with ERP and reporting solutions such as Oracle, SAP, Onestream, Hyperion, etc. Data analysis and ability to work with big sets of data Project management skills Advanced Excel skills We offer: Competitive salary Law benefits and superior Hybrid work dynamic Work place: Avenida Camino al Iteso #8900
