Jr. Legal Counsel Position Overview We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Legal Counsel to support our legal and compliance activities within a manufacturing environment. This position will assist in ensuring regulatory compliance, drafting legal documentation, and supporting corporate and commercial matters under the guidance of senior legal leadership. This role is ideal for a professional seeking to develop experience in foreign trade, corporate law, and manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Support legal compliance activities for manufacturing and maquila operations in Mexico. Assist in matters related to foreign trade regulations, including IMMEX Program, VAT Certification, RRNA, PROSEC and “Regla 8va”. Monitor regulatory updates and support internal teams in understanding applicable legal requirements. Draft and review commercial agreements, supplier contracts, lease agreements, and international contracts under supervision. Provide support in corporate governance matters, including preparation of shareholders’ meetings documentation. Assist in compliance processes, including anti-money laundering (AML) obligations. Coordinate documentation with external counsel when required. Maintain legal files and documentation updated and organized. Qualifications Law Degree (Licenciatura en Derecho). 1–3 years of experience in corporate law, foreign trade, or manufacturing industry (internships and traineeships considered). Basic knowledge of IMMEX, customs regulations, and corporate compliance. Experience or exposure to drafting legal agreements. Advanced English (written and spoken). Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
