Our Volex Tijuana facility has been a leading company in the region since September 1993. We specialize in the manufacturing, assembly, construction, design, marketing, import, and export of products related to electronic circuits, electrical conduction cables, and electrical components for appliances, computers, medical diagnostic equipment, and other applications. As part of our growth strategy, the site is expanding its operations to include the production of harnesses and connectors for the automotive sector. Core areas of the Role include: Supports a broad range of Purchasing team activities within an automotive or medical manufacturing environment. Follows up on purchase orders with external suppliers to ensure commitments to the plant and internal customers are fulfilled. Assists with placing production material orders and monitors the completion status of purchase orders. Keeps raw material receipt records up to date by promptly updating open orders in the system. Works closely with production planners to align material flow and meet customer delivery commitments. Ensures inventory levels are maintained in line with established targets. Develops and implements strategies to perform tasks efficiently and with high quality standards. Demonstrates the ability and judgment to negotiate special situations with suppliers when necessary. Reviews and resolves supplier invoice discrepancies related to pricing, quantities received, or system inconsistencies. Tracks and follows up on rejected materials (MRB) in coordination with the Quality Department. Ensures compliance with Purchasing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Executes purchase order releases and manages system-generated action messages, including expediting, deferring, or canceling orders as required. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in purchasing management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor preferred). Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proven teamwork and collaboration skills.
