Job Title: Senior/Lead Controls & Instrumentation EngineerLocation: Aberdeen/London - Hybrid/RemoteLTD Rate: Circa 45 an hourDuration: 9-12 month LTD contract outside IR35.Applicants must have proven right to work in the UK for this role and be based in Aberdeen or London.Are you a Controls & Instruments Engineer looking for that next long Contract?Do you have proven specialised engineering work experience within the Oil & Gas Sector (Upstream, Downstream, Pipeline and Petrochemical industry)?Have you successfully executed numerous international high-profile engineering projects with UK & international clients?This role is to support our Engineering and Project Management C&I team on an ad-hoc basis.You will :- Create and check engineering designsResponsible for ensuring designs meet project requirementsInput to project plans Identify areas of concern during any project or studyProduce cost- effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add valueAbility to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solutionUndertake surveys, both onshore and offshoreExperience on Autocad and 3D modellingProducing the below design deliverables: -Block Diagrams / Loop Diagrams / Termination Diagrams / Interconnection Diagrams / C&Es / Layout Diagrams / Cable Schedules / Hook-Up Diagrams / Material Requests / Reports / instrument indexReasonable Knowledge in Control system modification, particularly on the wiring interfaces between field instruments and between systems: - DCS/PCS/ICSS / ESD/PSD / F&G / HIPPS / Metering / UCPsReasonable knowledge in field instrument cabling particularly: - Control valves / Shutdown Valves / Pressure Safety Valves / Flowmeters / Pressure / Transmitters / Temperature Transmitters / Level Transmitters / Switches / F&G DetectorsUnderstanding of CE/ATEX and UKCA knowledge is essential.Knowledge of Compressor and turbine control systemAbility to read P&ID and develop complete C&I design package for constructionKnowledge of IEC/API/BSI/NFPAPlease do email a.graham@penspen.com with:-Your updated CVCurrent rateYour availability to commence this exciting contract.You will need a LTD company and insurances!
