Design Manager Location: Yorkshire or North East (Hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote) Job Type: Full-time Join the Team Are you an experienced electrical design professional looking for your next leadership opportunity? We are seeking a Design Manager to lead and develop a multi-skilled team, ensuring the successful delivery of detailed designs across all workstream areas. What Youll Do: Manage and mentor a growing team of design engineers and technicians Enhance and implement robust design procedures to reduce risk and liability Strengthen design capabilities through training, competence, and resource management Develop and maintain design standards, specifications, and guidance documents Oversee external design frameworks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations Support operational teams with expert design solutions What Were Looking For: Qualifications: Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) Experience: Strong knowledge of 11kV to 132kV (E)HV networks 'substations , including switchgear, transformers, underground circuits, earthing, and protection Industry Knowledge: Understanding of electricity distribution and private network interactions Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities Why Join?
