This means day to day; you’ll be working closely with the other Engineers in Squads ensuring the platform is fit for purpose and evolving to meet the needs of the product. Also, within the Platform team, you’ll work with the Lead Platform Engineer and other Platform Engineers across the Squads to implement the overall Platform roadmap and strategy.ResponsibilitiesYour role will be to understand the needs of the team and product, and then translate that into the necessary platform requirements. Your role will be responsible for:Helping to build and improve the cloud infrastructure using tools such as TerraformAssisting developers with the CI pipeline (CircleCI) and build toolsCreating and maintaining operational runbooks and alertsBuilding multi-cluster Kubernetes structures all across the globeSupporting a globally dispersed frontend with local APIs in each countryAPI orchestrationCloud level performance monitoring: Backstage.io, Prometheus and GrafanaAs part of the Platform team, you will be responsible for:Attending the Team meetings, discussing and communicating what platform requirements are needed by the Squad and how you can help other Squad needs.Working with the Lead Platform Engineer on the strategy for the products to ensure they are scalable and performant.What are we looking for?A passion for engineeringandcontinuous learningA pragmatic approach , someone with the ability to understand the big picture (business, product and tech), factor in all considerations and choose the best way forwardA mindset oftaking ownership,identifying and solving problems, able to navigate complex challenges.Good understanding of developer needs:Translate developer challenges into actionable platform improvements.CI/CD experience:Build, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.Cloud infrastructure expertise:Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure with hands-on experience.
