Position:Care Assistant Salary:£24,960.00 per year Job Type:Full Time Location:Peterborough, UK About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans meticulously. The Care Assistant will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Main DutiesAssist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance. Follow individual care plans to ensure tailored support for each client’s needs. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or manager. Accompany clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their comfort during transport. Qualifications/SkillsProficient in English, both spoken and written, to facilitate effective communication with clients and colleagues. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. At least 1 Year Experience in a care home or home care setting. EducationGCSE or equivalent Health Care Certificate preferred VISA / Work PermitWe are able to provide a new Tier 2 visa sponsorship (5 years) or visa sponsorship swap for candidates that are already in the UK. If you are offered a Tier 2 sponsorship visa, we are able to assist with your flight and relocation fees. You cover your own visa cost and you must complete and pass the 3 month probationary period.
