The role of the Senior Clinical Coder is to provide a timely, accurate and effective coding service to the Trust. The post holder will be required to abstract, analyse and accurately code all clinical information from a patients electronic health records so that the correct information can lead to the correct HRG, Health Resource Group. You will be coding all specialties across the Trust using ICD -10 and OPCS -4 classifications in accordance with National Standard and the Trust's Policy & Procedure guidelines. The role requires the successful candidate to produce coding technical support to the SLA, Divisions, Information/IT and Finance and all other areas. You will need to be consistent, accurate, & complete in all data for use by all departments in the Trust. You should have at least 4 years coding experience in an acute Trust and be an Accredited Clinical Coder.
