Quantity Surveyor - Tier 1 Contractor - Birmingham A Top 10 contractor is searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work on major design and build projects ranging from £5m to £100m. Why Apply: With a turnover of £1.2bn, our client is one of the UK's leading construction groups, operating across the education, commercial, retail, defence, leisure, and high-rise accommodation sectors. They offer the opportunity to work on some of the region's most prestigious projects, with a pipeline of £3bn over the next 5 years and a full order book for 2025 / 2026. The initial project is a prison scheme (non-live environment) to refurbish an existing building (£30m). Key Benefits: - Multi award-winning Top 10 Contractor - Excellent training and development - Genuine progression opportunities - Work from home / site / office Requirements: - Experience managing sub-contractor variations - Experience working with a building contractor - Experience dealing with final accounts - Industry-related qualification Key Duties: - Assist with procurement and managing sub-contract packages - Assist with variations and valuations - Input during the pre-construction stage - Assist with the production of CVRs Salary & Package: - Great basic salary of £45,000 - £50,000 - Company car or allowance (£5,000) - Performance-related bonus - Pension & Healthcare To qualify for the higher rate of pay, you must demonstrate a track record as a Quantity Surveyor delivering construction projects for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 building contractor ranging from £5m+ to £50m.
