We are looking to speak with Buyers who want to work with our client, a leading manufacturer in West Yorkshire! We’re looking for an experienced hands-on Technical Buyer with a Manufacturing background (valves/flow control or component manufacturing/machining) and experience in purchasing direct materials, components & and sub-contract machining. You will be: – Ensuring all purchases offer Value for Money (VfM), quality and are delivered on time to ensure continuity of supply. – Responsible for supplier negotiation and management – identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities, cost avoidance and vendor risk. You will ideally have: – Previous experience in sourcing direct materials, goods, components & and services (sub-contract machining) to meet operational needs and deadlines – Ideally technical knowledge and market awareness on valves. – An understanding of specifications, material grades, standards, certification and technical drawings. – A positive ‘can do’ attitude and flexible approach.#J-18808-Ljbffr
