Job overviewPrevious applicants need not apply Band 5 Dietitian, full time, to cover a 12 month period. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic dietitian to join our large department within the inpatient ward team. This post would suit a newly qualified band 5 dietitian and contains a mixed caseload of medical and complex care wards. The post holder will be working closely with our existing band 5s in managing a wide variety of clinical conditions seen across the Trust. There would be an expectation that this post holder would be involved in training student dietitians from both Plymouth and Birmingham City Universities, on completion of the clinical supervisory skills course. We offer a variety of in-house CPD opportunities, clinical supervision and preceptorships for newly qualified staff. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, has a good rapport with patients and staff and takes pride in providing an efficient and effective dietetic service. Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesTo provide a dietetic service to specified wards at NBT. To provide cover during annual leave and unplanned leave to a variety of clinical areas. To deliver education and training on nutrition-related topics to a range of health professionals, students and patients. To contribute to implementation of the Trust Nutrition and Hydration strategy.
