The cornerstone of the ACCESS Fellowship lies in its flexibility and adaptability. As a fellow, you will collaborate with your designated clinical supervisor to shape a tailored development plan.This post is for 6 to 12 months.Main duties of the jobACCESS is the London regional adult critical care transfer service committed to ensuring the secure, reliable, compassionate, and proficient transfer of critically ill patients throughout the capital. Our operations are carried out in collaboration with the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust (LAS), the London integrated commissioning boards and associated critical care networks to provide a transfer service for critically ill patients throughout London 24 hours a day 7 days a week.Transfer teams are currently operational within the four geographical sectors of London, operating under the oversight of Bart's Health, as the host trust. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in any of the four geographical sectors, based on their individual requirements, objectives, and preferences. You will play a pivotal role in streamlining practices, education, transfer operations, and governance within a single service, with a unified vision of ensuring equitable access to specialist care. Joining the largest of its kind in England, you will be part of Pan-London Specialist Teams dedicated to providing highly specialised cardiac, trauma, neurosurgical, and burns care. Additionally, you will contribute to the repatriation of patients back to their local Intensive Care units across the country.We are also working with other Trusts to consider 50/50 job share opportunities within their Intensive Care Units and ACCESS, further details will be available if you are successfully shortlisted.Person Specification Qualifications and training Essential GMC Registration Primary FRCA/MRCP or equivalent Completed stage 1 training in anaesthetics/ICM (or equivalent) Completed a transfer course and had clinical experience of inter-hospital transfers ALS or equivalent Desirable Full FRCA / FICM Experience in cardiothoracic critical care APLS/EPLS (instructor status) FICE/FUSIC ATLS or equivalent (instructor status ideal) PHEC/MIMMS/MIMMS Diploma in Retrieval and Transfer Medicine Diploma in Immediate Medical care Research and Development Essential Understanding and knowledge of research and ability to interpret research papers Desirable Publications in critical care journals or in areas of special interest Management and Leadership Essential Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to changing clinical environments Ability to problem solve and escalate appropriately Desirable Experience in team leading#J-18808-Ljbffr
