GVC are assisting an outstanding independent two-site small animal practice located on the outskirts of Cambridge, in their search for a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their expanding team. About the Practice This well-established clinic sits in a prime location on the border of Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, and Northamptonshire, just a short distance from the historic town of Stamford. The practice is proudly independent, with a strong ethos of treating pets as if they were their own. The team consists of four dedicated Vets, including a visiting orthopaedic specialist, allowing for a broad and interesting caseload and internal referrals, with excellent opportunities for development and learning. The Role The successful candidate will benefit from a role built on flexibility, support, and autonomy: Clinical Freedomin decision-making across consults and surgeries 15-minute consultsas standard, with extra time for complex cases Dedicated 1-hour lunch breaks —guaranteed and uninterrupted Flexible working options —full-time preferred but part-time considered Work hours:8:15am–6:00pm weekdays, with dedicated time for admin and case discussions Saturdays(8:15–11:00am, 2:30–4:30pm) on a shared rota Tuesday offfollowing a weekend shift State-of-the-Art Facilities Include: IDEXX in-house analysers NEW Zoetis Imagyst for cytology & HT Vista for non-invasive cancer screening Digital X-ray & ultrasonography Endoscopy and an operating microscope Dedicated dental suite Class 4 K-Laser therapy Sevoflurane anaesthesia and active patient warmers These facilities support the team in deliveringgold-standard clinical care , while also allowing for enhanced diagnostics and treatment in-house.
