With a shared office space in ourTelfordorBirminghamoffice and the ability to work remotely we invite applications from across the region. Key Midland Frameworks Midlands Highway Alliance (MHA):This framework enables us to collaborate directly with 21 local authorities, delivering essential highway infrastructure and maintenance projects. Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF):The SDF framework is managed in collaboration with Highways England, covering a comprehensive range of civil engineering projects. Staffordshire Infrastructure Plus:Our partnership with Staffordshire County Council has delivered over £100m worth of major transport infrastructure projects. The role We are seeking an experienced and motivatedHighways Engineerto support our Design and Development team. As a Civil Engineer, you will support the Senior Engineer and lead junior Engineers in the design and delivery of multiple highway projects. Responsibilities include: Producing technically sound engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements. The preparation and checking of designs, calculations, drawings and documentation. Liaising with client and supplier representatives at peer level. Managing a small, locally based single discipline technical team. Contributing to the preparation of bids and the general work winning function. Working on site, either on a visiting basis or in a full time but temporary role. What you will bring to us: Relevant experience in highway engineering. The ability to work in a commercial and customer focused way. Confidence to work under minimum supervision. A good understanding of Manual for Streets, DMRB, and other national standards. A good understanding of the CDM regulations. The ability to support the preparation of briefs for fee quotes. Can deliver on time, within budget and to the quality required.
