Job Description

We are currently recruiting for aWaste Client Manager, sitting within Waste, Neighbourhood Enforcement and Street Scene Services. Location: Southwest England Set-up: Mostly remote – 1 day per week onsite Rate: £35 per hour via umbrella, inside IR35 Duration: Initial 3-month contract Hours: Full-time position Purpose of role: To act as the Client Officer with the Council's wholly owned waste collection and disposal service provider, delivering the £30m Integrated Waste Management contract and lead on the stakeholder relations and oversight of £14m contracts. Act as point of escalation for aligned contracts, seeking to resolve contractual complaints and disputes in a manner that mitigates risks & liabilities to the council. Develop and procure new services or service solutions that reflect government legislation. Outcomes/Accountabilities: To be responsible for undertaking client & contract management with the Council's Integrated Waste Disposal and Collection company, and other waste-related contractors using technical knowledge of the following: Waste Collection, Waste Disposal and Treatment, Street Cleansing, Winter maintenance, Commercial Waste. To manage the Health and Safety performance of the Waste Service as required of a contracting authority by the Health and Safety Executive, ensuring compliance with Permits, Licences, and other regulatory requirements. To work in partnership with colleagues across the Neighbourhoods, Parks and enforcement service, Waste Company, and Council customer services teams to ensure a joined-up approach to waste management and cleansing to meet customer needs. To assist the Client Manager in the preparation of budgets and the monitoring of expenditure as it relates to the Waste function and contracts.#J-18808-Ljbffr
