Cabling Installation Engineer, ReadingRoc Technologies is one of the UKs fastest growing and capable Transformation Services Providers and we empower organisations in the public and private sectors to accelerate business and technology change.We are looking for a Cabling Installation Engineer to work as part of the installation team carrying out works detailed below to deliver customer projects at our client site based in Reading (RG7).Core responsibilitiesNetwork cabinet installationsPrimary and secondary containment system installationsInstallation of Cat6 or Cat6A horizontal cabling solutionsTermination, Testing & labelling of Cat6 / Cat6A solutionsNetwork switch installationCopper patchingRequirementsExperience of terminating copper cabling (Category 5e, category 6 etc)Experience of testing both fibre optic and copper cables using Fluke TestersGood working knowledge of current installation practicesExperience in the installation of containment systems (both Steel and PVC)Knowledge of OTDR testing would be an advantage.Focused and able to work within a team and independently.Good communication skillsEligible for SC clearanceWorking pattern: You will be working a 75-hour fortnight (over 9 days) Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30 (both weeks), working Friday 07:30 to 14:30 (week 1), and non-working Friday off (week 2).
