Macdonald & Company are working with a client-side employer in Berkshire to recruit a Facilities Manager . This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a hands-on in-house team responsible for maintaining and managing the extensive building fabric and infrastructure. Youll play a key role in developing maintenance strategies, overseeing compliance, and driving forward both planned and reactive works across a high-profile and complex estate. The role combines operational leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage multiple in-house teams including maintenance, decorating, signage, and infrastructure. Develop and implement building fabric maintenance strategies and PPM schedules. Conduct asset condition reports and plan lifecycle replacements. Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, health and safety regulations, and internal standards. Support events, race-days, and non-race activities with technical expertise. Oversee fabric contractors, manage contracts, permits to work, and risk assessments. Take ownership of signage and branding across the venue. Drive continual improvement, benchmarking, and stakeholder engagement. Experience & Skills Required Recognised qualification (NVQ Level 2 minimum) in a relevant trade. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate in-house teams. Experience managing large-scale PPM and reactive maintenance programmes. Proficient in MS Office and facilities management software. Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills. Strong working knowledge of procurement and compliance documentation.
