Key Details Location: Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital (but will be expected to cover Trust wide) Town: Margate Postcode: CT9 4AN Contract type: Permanent Hours: 30 hours per week Salary: £53,755 - £60,504 per annum Grade: NHS AfC: Band 8a Main area: Palliative Care Job Overview The post holder will work in close collaboration with the Supportive and Palliative Care multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to contribute to the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice, education and training, practice, service development and research/audit within the hospital specialist supportive and palliative care service. The postholder is accountable for independent clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment utilising advanced practice skills within an agreed scope of practice. The Key Elements Of This Position Are: Direct line management of the supportive and palliative care team. Managing the daily operational delivery of the service. Providing Advanced Level Practice to the SPCT and across the Trust. Facilitating learning, including coordination of the Trust wide palliative care education programme. Supporting and fostering a research active environment. Experience Essential criteria:Clinical practitioner with advanced practice skills and significant experience in clinical roles in specialist palliative care. Qualifications Essential criteria:Current NMC/HCPC registration. MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) or Centre of Advancing Practice Credential or Masters Degree in a health related subject relevant to specialist area of clinical practice.
