Our client:Supply a mix of non-food products across a mix of design-led categoriesThe business have the number one brand in the marketA global business, products are used every day by consumers and sold across multiple countriesSell to all major UK retailers online, grocery & high streetThe category is buoyant, in high demand and the business is currently in growth despite difficult market conditionsCulturally is an open, relaxed and close-knit team and the company have a number of long-standing employeesAn opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join the team covering the South-West territoryThe role:Managing the South-West territory, including South WalesSelling to a mix of retailers including independents, garden centres and small department stores amongst othersWorking as part of an independent sales team, striving to achieve targets both as a team and individuallyWork in conjunction with the strategic plans of the business and manage multiple brandsManage your own journey plans, CRM system, reports and all customer enquiriesBe customer facing, good at building relationships and be a strong ambassador for the businessOversea in-store merchandising and promotional activityIdeal candidate:It would be helpful if you have previous territory or field sales management experience but not essentialYou may have operated in a different type of sales role and be looking for your first step into field sales with a leading business. For example you could have worked in merchandising or a retail environmentExperience of working in a design-led product category such as home, beauty, gift or stationery for example would be beneficial but is not essentialCandidates from a more traditional FMCG area in field sales will also be considered.Will need to be ambitious, easy going, personable and have a strong work ethicTarget driven, good at building relationships and enjoy being customer facingAble to travel across the territory as per the needs of the role and business.
