These roles will be primarily laboratory-based, with some fieldwork required. Main Duties: Collect and process water samples for microbiological indicators. Become proficient in working within a UKAS accredited laboratory. Assist in the development of new methodologies for analysis. Collaborate with the wider team as required. Collate and manage historical data. Potential for occasional home-working (ad hoc basis only). Desired Criteria: Previous experience in a microbiology laboratory, specifically processing environmental water samples. Environmental sampling experience, particularly in water-related areas. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. 4 GCE/GCSE ‘O’ Levels (grades A-C) in separate subjects, including English, Mathematics, and a science subject. A minimum of 1 year’s practical experience in a relevant field (academic, voluntary, or work-related). Full UK driving licence. Current NWSMP Level 1 qualification (National Water Safety Management Programme). GCE/GCSE O Levels (grades A-C) in English, Mathematics, and either Double Award Science or two science subjects (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geography).
