Were enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, andworking hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come.About theroleAs Security Engineer, youll be responsible for delivery of the Security Engineering strategyacross our Hydro sites. The role will ensure Security Engineering compliance,including NIS compliance and governance.Youll work todelivery innovative and strategic maintenance initiatives and plans thatoptimise risk, performance and capital expenditure tailored to meet Securityrequirements, related to Cyber, physical and market economics.This rolecovers all plants within our Hydro business which includes 8 conventional hydrostations (126MW) and a pump storage station (440MW). The stations are locatedfrom Tongland at the Solway Firth to Cruachan that is situated on the banks ofLoch Awe approximately 180 miles apart. On average youllbe expected to attend one of the sites per week with some office attendance atthe Glasgow office for team collaboration. This role also allows for some homeworking. We dont offer a car allowance, but mileage will be paid from yourhome to the site location (excluding the Glasgow office). A valid UK drivinglicence is essential for this role.Who werelooking forIdeally, youllhold a degree level qualification in a relevant subject, and a backgroundworking in cyber security, network security or control & instrumentationengineering. Youll need a goodunderstanding of network security technologies and processes including anunderstanding of current and emerging security threats and an awareness ofsystems and methods to counter them.
