To scrub for a range of specialties including General, Orthopedics, ENT, Gynae, and Urology. To act as a patient advocate and maintain high standards of patient care, ensuring that patient objectives are achieved through a systematic approach. To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care, providing support to the multidisciplinary team. To liaise with patients and relatives, keeping them informed of treatment and progress, and to participate in providing advice and support. To promote evidence-based practice and participate in relevant research or audits, planning and initiating changes to enhance patient care. To ensure compliance with Infection Control standards in line with Trust policy. To maintain accurate records of observations, treatment, and care, and to teach and monitor others as necessary. To provide clinical leadership to theatre teams. To participate in induction and in-service training of staff during their supernumerary period. To train and supervise junior staff in collaboration with the Education and Training Team. Main duties of the job To have knowledge and experience across a range of surgical procedures with competence to scrub. To prepare theatre for a list following policies and procedures. To support the wider theatre team as needed.
