The role involves working within the Children, Young People and Education (CYPE) directorate and collaborating with multi-agency stakeholders (Police, Education, Health, etc.) to facilitate change and improvements for children, young people, and families. The primary responsibility is to manage the implementation of Children Services system change in line with the Children Wellbeing and Schools Bill, through designing, coordinating, overseeing, and executing a multi-agency delivery plan to ensure effective and timely reforms.The role aims to establish Children Services as a single integrated system supporting the wellbeing and protection of all children, both inside and outside the home. It will ensure the programme meets national statutory guidance for Families First by April 2027, working closely with key partners including Health, Police, and the voluntary and community sector. Responsibilities include budget oversight of grant funds, monitoring delivery progress, and evaluation.You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including Children Services, Health services, Police, parents, and schools. Strong project management skills are essential for the day-to-day coordination and successful delivery of the project, employing appropriate methodologies tailored to project needs.The role requires close collaboration with senior managers within Children’s Services, across Telford and Wrekin Council, and external partners, with reporting on progress to governing boards and government departments.Do you aspire to work for an ‘Outstanding’ Local Authority?
