If so, the following permanent role might be for you.JAM Recruitment is partnering with a market-leading manufacturing business based in Telford to find a Purchasing Manager to join on a permanent basis amid exciting business changes and ambitious growth plans.The client manufactures a comprehensive range of aluminium foil containers used throughout the food industry, supplying lightweight, robust aluminium foil packaging for retail brands and foil containers for wholesale and distributor markets worldwide.The Purchasing Manager will oversee procurement and purchasing of all goods, materials, and services, ensuring operational needs are met in line with sustainable procurement guidelines, balancing price, quality, and delivery to ensure supply continuity.You Will Be Responsible ForManaging procurement and purchasing of all production and non-production materials and services.Managing metal demand and purchase contracts with suppliers.Managing stock levels of purchased goods according to company objectives.Handling metal scrap contracts.Demand analysis, purchase order generation, and expedition.Supplier liaison and management, maintaining clear communication and supply lines.Negotiating and managing supplier contracts, maintaining documentation, and assessing renewal needs.Leading tender processes, gathering data, and collating quotations.Developing and implementing supplier performance evaluation processes.Supporting SAP purchasing implementation.Driving cost savings and benchmarking exercises to obtain best prices.Managing and supporting direct reports.You Will HaveExtensive experience in Purchasing, Procurement, and Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment.Experience in fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environments (highly desirable).Experience with Supplier Portals (desirable).Experience with SAP (desirable).CIPS qualification or working towards it (desirable).The Package Competitive salary plus bonus, pension, 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, and other benefits.
