Workman's Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded organisation in the care sector to find a dedicated Maintenance Coordinator. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage maintenance and refurbishment activities across care homes, ensuring they are safe, compliant, and welcoming environments for residents. About the Role This is a pivotal position in a mission-driven organisation, focused on maintaining and improving care environments. By ensuring efficient maintenance processes and overseeing refurbishment projects, you will directly contribute to enhancing the quality of life for residents. Location Based at a Support Hub in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, this role oversees maintenance operations across multiple care homes. Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and manage maintenance activities, ensuring all properties are safe, compliant, and comfortable. * Oversee refurbishment projects, including extensions and upgrades, ensuring they meet timelines and budgets. * Handle maintenance-related orders and administrative tasks efficiently. * Monitor and review in-house maintenance checks and third-party inspections. * Maintain the maintenance budget and identify cost-saving opportunities. * Ensure the timely completion of Health & Safety action plans and internal risk assessments. * Build strong working relationships with contractors, suppliers, and team members. Essential: * Minimum two years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. * Proficiency in email, Excel, and Word. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Proven ability to negotiate with contractors and suppliers. * Self-motivated, confident, and calm under pressure. * Lives within a 30 minute commute to Sleaford. Preferred: * Experience in coordinating maintenance activities. * Background in project administration or management. * Previous experience supervising or managing people.
