Underwriting Assistant Location: Southampton (Hybrid working after probation) Salary: £25,095 - £28,000 per annum DOE Hours: 37 ½ hours per week - Monday – Friday – The role may require an occasional Saturday shift of 9am-2pm Our client is an award-winning fintech. As a result of continued and successful growth, our client is now recruiting for a Customer Service professional to work in their Underwriting team. The roles primary focus is assessing loan applications in the following ways: * Ensuring Assessing any documents received and ensuring they are legitimate and meet policy – so an eye for detail and accuracy is essential. * Reviewing Bank Statements and Open Banking Reports to be able to accurately calculate key income and expenditure figures and be able to perform an analysis of information received. * Occasionally calling customers to discuss the application and request further information/clarification where appropriate. * From time to time an Underwriter may assist our Contact Centre, who we work closely with, therefore a passion for customer service and a good telephone manner are important to this role.
