Desktop Engineer - Hedge Fund - up to £65kDesktop Engineer - Hedge Fund - up to £65kSupport all users in this global Hedge Fund as part of a small IT team that covers all IT issues. You’ll be joining the London office as the sole IT professional responsible for all IT-related tasks, offering variety and the role of a go-to IT generalist. You need to be an all-rounder, ready to support tasks ranging from fixing printers to scripting in PowerShell for automation. You will have full access to systems administration, so escalation to other teams will not be necessary. This is a fully on-site role; remote or hybrid options are not available. The salary is up to £65,000, with potential future travel opportunities due to the global nature of the company. This position is suitable for someone in the second or third role of their career, primarily handling 1st and 2nd line support. You will work on the trading floor, interacting directly with traders and resolving issues throughout the day. Experience in a smaller, dynamic environment is preferred; large banking environments may not be suitable. The environment is Microsoft-based, so experience with Windows, Azure, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting is desirable. Networking experience would be a significant advantage.
