Job Title Apprentice Service Technician Job Description Vanderlande has a strategic partnership with Heathrow Airport, managing baggage handling systems for over 80 million passengers annually. As an Apprentice Service Technician working at Heathrow, you will develop skills to perform maintenance on automated baggage systems, aiming to become a fully qualified Service Technician. Your responsibilities will include: Maintaining and optimizing baggage system performance. Assisting in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control faults. Supporting reactive and planned maintenance alongside experienced technicians. Learning to use maintenance management systems like Maximo. Gaining experience within a live airport environment. What We Expect From You As an apprentice, you will play a vital role in system maintenance while learning from experienced staff. We require: At least a 4 in Maths and English or Functional Skills. Ability to complete a Level 3 Mechatronics apprenticeship, including attending college. Willingness to work shifts, including nights. Hands-on attitude and eagerness to learn. Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach. Ability to follow safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.
