The post holder will provide the fundamentals of care and extended skills to patients in the outpatient department to ensure high standards are maintained in a safe environment including patient safety and to make sure that the care experience is positive by treating all patients, family, relatives and colleagues with respect, dignity and courtesy in accordance with Trust values and policies.Main duties of the jobSupport patients when they are attending their outpatient appointments. Prepare Notes and ensure patient requests are fulfilled or actioned Work with the other team members to ensure a safe and collaborative environment is adhered to Keep the environment well stocked and complete any audits requested. If necessary, take observations in line with the recommendations of the Care Certificate. Ensure patient care is given in line with the Trust expectations and patients individual needs are met. Ordering stock for the unit and keeping records up to date. Signposting patients to the correct service and working as a team with other staff members. Ensure all mandatory training is kept up to date in line with Trust expectations and patient safety needs. The individual Band 3 must attend all relevant training and have a completed Trust competency before practising unsupervised.
