Join to apply for theTrade Counter Sales Assistantrole atJewson Partnership Solutions 6 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Join to apply for theTrade Counter Sales Assistantrole atJewson Partnership Solutions Are you based in theNewcastlearea?Do you have a passion for working with people and enjoy a fast-paced and varied role?JPSspecialise in providing supply solutions and building materials for our customers in the Public Sector such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities.We're on the hunt for aTrade Counter Assistantto join the team in our Housing Hub branch inByker, Newcastle , who's as passionate about great service as we are!We provide a fulfilling and enjoyable work environment with ample opportunities for career growth, along with a competitive salary, staff discount, life assurance, and 34 days of holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).Working Hours:7.30 – 4.30 Monday to Friday and 1 Saturday in 4, 8am-12pmLocation:JPS,St Lawrence Rd, Newcastle-upon-Tyne NE6 1AQKey ResponsibilitiesThis is a multi-skilled role covering key areas of our branch, you'll serve customers at our busy trade counter, process their orders, complete sales admin, pick stock in our warehouse and organise deliveries - no two days are the same!Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our JPS values Serve customers at the trade counter - develop great relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise deliveries, manage stock control, process delivery paperwork, update spreadsheets and keep customers updated throughout their journey Pick and prepare customer orders in our warehouse and liaise with the rest of the warehouse team to ensure orders are accurate Keep the branch and warehouse looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts and rotations Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvementRequired Skills And ExperiencePrevious industry experience preferred but not essential Experience in a busy customer facing environment A good degree of IT literacy and a strong communicator Passion for working with people with a positive can-do attitudeWhat’s In It For YouCompetitive salary and discretionary bonus A wide range of voluntary benefits including holiday buying, discounted gym membership, salary sacrifice scheme, Cycle2Work, Benenden Healthcare and more.
