This post isfixed term to the end of March 2028 .What You Will DoNHS Ayrshire and Arran are recruiting a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (8A) within the pan-Ayrshire Staff Psychology team contributing to the Staff Wellbeing service. This is an exciting post with strong professional development opportunities within a small but highly motivated, passionate and supportive specialist team. The postholder will be an integral member of the team while working closely with colleagues across the Staff wellbeing service. The post includes involvement in the training and supervision of staff, as well as potential for local research and audit projects. There is also the opportunity to be involved in aspects of service development and the main focus will be on shaping the development of our Staff Psychology team provision across the three Health and Social Care Partnerships.Services are delivered to the population directly through specialist therapeutic intervention for staff requiring our service from our health and social care workforce in Ayrshire & Arran. Psychological Services provide expert advice, consultancy, training and supervision in order to develop the psychological skills of other health and non-health professionals. It also aims to enhance the delivery of psychological care across the whole healthcare system through formal contribution at programme board and strategic levels.For further information on the role please click the link below to view the job descriptionKnowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The JobPost graduate Doctorate degree in Clinical/Counselling Psychology Honours degree in Psychology (minimum upper 2nd class)Eligibility for Chartered Clinical Psychology status Evidence of appropriate CPD Health Care Professions Council Registration You must be HCPC registered as a Practitioner Clinical Psychologist. Trainee Clinical Psychologists would not be expected to be HCPC registered at the point of applying for the post, but would need to have attained registration before they would be eligible to commence the post.For further information on the requirements for the role please click the link below to view the person specificationHoursThis post isfixed term to the end of March 2028and is offered at 18.5 hours per week.
