Join to apply for theSCUK Senior IT Project Manager - Contract Hirerole atSantander Consumer (UK) plc1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicantsCountry: United KingdomSantander Consumer Finance is one of the UK's leading Motor Finance companies providing finance to a network of dealerships throughout the United Kingdom.We are currently looking for a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join us to manage complex, business-critical technology projects across the Contract Hire and Leasing space, starting with the implementation of our internal, global Leasing platform.This role requires someone with significant Motor Finance and Leasing experience to lead the project through implementation and into the rollout phase.Please note this role is based in Redhill, Surrey, and requires at least 3 days in the office; remote workers will not be considered.Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with stakeholders and the Project Sponsor to define and align on project scope and objectivesUtilise industry knowledge in Leasing and Motor Finance to lead and influence decision-making based on best practicesOversee the delivery of the project scope, functional and non-functional requirements, and all associated deliverables across all project phasesDrive the application of Santander’s project lifecycle and standards, working effectively with internal and external teams to ensure delivery aligns with scope, timelines, budget, and quality standardsFoster strong relationships with Executive project sponsors, stakeholders, and the wider ExCo team, ensuring transparency through comprehensive status reporting, including RAID managementDevelop and maintain a holistic project plan in coordination with Project workstream leads, ensuring effective resource allocationCreate and implement communication plans for effective engagement across the project team and broader organizationServe as a key liaison between internal and external technical teams, nurturing productive relationshipsPlan, organize, and facilitate meetings and workshops with senior leadership and project teamsManage project budget, scope, and schedule, tracking deliverables and communicating project statusManage activities across multiple project phases, including change and dependency managementDefine and measure project KPIs, review lessons learned, benefits realization, and budget performanceIdentify, manage, and escalate project risks according to Santander UK’s risk frameworkCollaborate on project transition into business-as-usual, ensuring service transition plans are well-defined, tested, and implementedConduct reviews of lessons learned to improve future projectsWhat we’re looking for:Experience in delivering complex technology projects and business change in a similar roleProven leadership in high-profile projects within Leasing or Motor FinanceUnderstanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance issues in financial services, including FCA principlesHigh motivation and determination, with problem-solving skills through teamwork and collaborationExcellent communication and influencing skills at all levelsExperience managing third-party vendors and building strong partnershipsStrong commercial acumenExperience in regulated financial services businessesAbility to operate independently in ambiguous environmentsResults-driven with tenacityBenefits include:Salary circa £85k-£90k per annum, depending on experience30 days holiday plus bank holidaysAnnual bonus based on performanceCar allowancePrivate medical coverGenerous pension contributionsEmployee assistance programmeSharesave schemeGym passes at reduced ratesInclusion At Santander, we’re creating a workplace where all colleagues feel they belong and are supported to succeed.
