Eggtooth are looking for a Business & Finance Manager to join Hastings' leading creative mental health organisation. Eggtooth was established in 2011. Since then we have supported thousands of children, young people and families, with our unique approach to wellbeing and learning. Our services are needed now, more than ever. JOB TITLE:Business and Finance Manager EMPLOYER:Eggtooth Limited LOCATION:Wellington Square, Hastings RESPONSIBLE TO:Co-Director of Business Development RESPONSIBLE FOR:Bookkeeper WORKING HOURS:20 hours a week (hours to be worked Monday to Friday between 9.00-5.30) flexible hours (e.g. could be term time only). SALARY:£35,000 FTE (FT - 37.5 hours a week) DEADLINE:27/09/24 Job Specification EssentialProven experience of working in a hands-on Finance Manager role Strong knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting and financial reporting Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel) Experience in managing multiple, diverse income streams Demonstrated experience in managing financial systems, processes and controls Ability to work flexibly DesirablePart or fully qualified accountant/bookkeeper within ACA/ ACCA, AAT or QBE or demonstrable equivalent experience Experience and or knowledge of the voluntary, third sector or charity sector and its financial culture Experience of supporting an organisation at a time of growth and transition SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEBusiness acumen, sound financial accounting skills and knowledge of relevant financial regulations, reporting standards and legal requirements Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights to support decision making Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel) and Google Suite Attention to detail with the ability to enter data accurately and efficiently Resilience and the ability to prioritise work in a demanding environment whilst adhering to deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels An ability to communicate complex financial information so that it is accessible and easily understood Ability to identify and implement systems advantageous to improving quality and efficiency Ability to implement and promote Equal Opportunities PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESA welcoming, friendly and polite manner Enthusiasm and interest in the job with a can-do attitude Motivated, reliable and self-confident with the ability to work autonomously Innovative thinker High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality The desire and ability to work as part of a team You thrive in a flexible, creative work environment This will be application form, JD and safer recruitment statement.
