Are you up for the challenge?Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for aTransport First Line Manager (nights)to join our team in Leyland, on our Waitrose contract. You will play an important role within the transport department at the site offering your leadership skills to deliver and execute the plan and ensure the efficient running of all transport functions.This is a full-time, permanent position, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 18:00 – 06:00.Pay, benefits and more:Salary of up to£38,000.00 per annum23 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)Benefits include a company sponsored pension scheme, private medical & dental insurance, 24/7 online GP, life assurance, and an employee assistance programmeAccess to MyBenefits platform with discounts, cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, and moreWhat you’ll do on a typical day:Deliver the daily execution of the transport plan and ensure efficient transport operationsEnsure driver and vehicle compliance with WTD regulations, maintenance, and inspectionsPlan driver schedules focusing on optimal use of GXO and external agency resourcesLead and motivate your team to meet operational KPIs such as service, productivity, and complianceWhat you need to succeed at GXO:Experience leading a fast-paced transport team, preferably in grocery retail or temperature-controlled distributionKnowledge of telematics systems and TachomasterUnderstanding of transport compliance, working time directive, vehicle maintenance; CPC qualification is a plusStrong communication skills and ability to inspire a diverse teamGXO is a leading provider of innovative supply chain solutions, helping clients manage goods efficiently with technology and services.
