Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager Location: Chichester, West Sussex Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Mechanical project manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical engineering projects from initial concept through to completion. Based in Chichester , you''ll play a key role in managing budgets, coordinating teams, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and manage all mechanical aspects of projects from inception to handover Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and delivery Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource planning Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Monitor project progress and produce regular status reports for stakeholders Ensure quality assurance and adherence to industry standards and client requirements Manage procurement of mechanical materials and services Support the tendering process, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and cost estimates Requirements: Proven experience in project management within a mechanical engineering or building services environment Strong knowledge of mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, and plant equipment Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g. MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.) Full UK driving licence Desirable: SMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety qualifications Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE) Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects
