Job Title: Ecologist (Contract)Salary: 16.82 per hourLocation: London / EpsomType: Temporary 12 months (potential of extension), up to 40 hours per weekAbout the RoleOur client is seeking an enthusiastic Ecologist to support a diverse range of projects across the UK. You will play a key role in delivering ecological surveys, habitat assessments, and protected species monitoring, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to drive biodiversity enhancements.Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning, coordinating, and undertaking field surveysAnalysing and interpreting survey resultsProviding Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) supportCollaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-profile projectsWhat Our Client is Looking ForQualifications & MembershipsA degree in Ecology or a related fieldMembership of CIEEM (covered by our client)Technical Skills & ExperienceStrong protected species survey skillsUK Habitat survey and Defra Biodiversity Metric knowledgeExperience in Biodiversity Net Gain assessments (desirable)Level 1 or 2 bat survey licence (desirable)Full UK driving licenceKey AttributesStrong collaboration and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environmentWhat Our Client OffersWork on nationally significant, award-winning projectsCareer development and training opportunitiesExpenses covered as per company policyFlexible contract with the potential for extensionEligibilityThis role may require security clearance.
