With over 3 billion video views per month, 100 million social followers globally, and a reach of 650 million across web, social, and video platforms, Footballco is the worlds largest football media company and one of the largest digital media companies in sport globally.About the RoleThe Junior Technical Project Manager will be responsible for delivering end to end projects and feature requests against the technology department product roadmap.Reporting into the Technical Program Manager, the position will work alongside product managers, designers and engineering team leads to manage the delivery of key projects and feature requests, focusing on prioritising items that add the greatest value to Footballco and making sure items are delivered to agreed timescales.A core responsibility of the Junior Technical Project Manager will be managing daily standups and ceremonies and working closely with the engineering team leads to optimise the engineering teams time and resources. Assisting engineering team leads and principle in technical problem solving and agreeing on resources capable of delivering specific epics.The Junior Technical PM will instill the process designed by the program manager to manage the global delivery of the product roadmap. Making sure project plans, designs, requirements, technical specs are of a good quality and all projects are monitored and managed in appropriate tools. Providing stakeholders with updated and helping technical leaders to prioritise against available resourcesWhat You'll be doing:Global delivery of key items on the technology roadmapTechnical problem solving with engineering leaders to release bottlenecks in deliveryManage daily standups and ceremonies with software engineering teamsResource planning and capacity management within the software engineering teamsWith the Technical Program Manager, ensuring a project delivery framework is adhered to for all projects and feature requestsWith Product management, define each project scope, goals and deliverablesDefine the responsibilities of key stakeholders involved in each project, including senior management, customers, project teams, vendors, and other affected parties.Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams and external partners to drive project success.Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure timely delivery and achievement of goals. Provide detailed reports and updates to senior technology leadership and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and performance metrics.Identify, manage, and escalate project risks and issues where necessary, and ensure proactive contingency planning to minimise impact on business operations.What You Have:Experience leading frontend and backend technical projectsStrong experience managing software engineering sprint planning and resource managementExperience working with in-house development teamsProficient in agile project management frameworks and methodologies (scrum and Kanban)Previous experience using project management tools such as Jira and Click UpIndividual SkillsProven track record of delivering projects on time and within budgetGrowth and learning mindset, collaborator, and team playerStrong matrix leadership skillsexcellent communication skills with comfort speaking with business stakeholdersStrong technical problem solverAbility to challenge technical requirements and decisionsFootballco is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
