This is a key leadership role offering both strategic and hands-on responsibilities, with the flexibility of hybrid working (4 days in-office, 1 from home).You will lead a multi-skilled team to ensure the consistent delivery of quality design solutions, enhancing existing procedures and supporting operational success, youll also be responsible for team development and ensuring the company remains compliant and competitive in its delivery of services.If youre ready to step into a role where you can shape the future of design at IUS, apply today!Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of engineers and techniciansOversee the delivery of detailed designs from 11kV to 132kV networksImprove design processes to reduce risk and ensure complianceBuild an operations-based design function that supports business growthDevelop and implement a company-wide design strategy and frameworkAct as key liaison for external design partners and contractorsEnsure quality assurance processes are in place across all design projectsPrepare the business to act as Principal Designer under CDM regulationsMaintain high team utilisation and meet customer satisfaction targetsIdentify and develop internal talent and capability for future growthThe CompanyIUS is a specialist high voltage electrical contractor and part of Northern Powergrid, within the Berkshire Hathaway Energy Group of companies.
