Job DescriptionThe Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for Londons state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.The role is based in Southwark up to 4 days a week.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Take the lead engineering role in managing the Electrical design team for Egis, and predominately the Old Oak Common Station project, as part of Egis-VVB Engineering joint venture AnthroElectrical CRE within OOC, responsible for the consistency of the deliverables across the project.Lead the Anthro London design office and create a positive working environmentPlan and co-ordinate the activities of the design team (CAD/BIM, engineers, expert resources)Liaise with Clients team for all related issues or decisions, represent design teams in meetings, provide technical opinion or support whenever neededProactively review design documentation to ensure compliance to standard and requirementsReview, evaluate and implement rail industry standards to ensure compliance of the engineering deliverables to the standards (quality)Coordinate the Quality aspects of the electrical sub-systems deliverables as per the project Quality Management plan principlesReview and approve (wherever applicable) all deliverables, act as a technical control level across projectsMaintain and develop competency of the team within your discipline, including:Competency assessment, Professional reviews, Training plan, Guidance and mentoring to junior team membersSupport the senior team in growing the technical capability of the discipline/businessSupport the senior team to implement efficient processes to manage safety assurance (including CDM, CSM-RA and interoperability), and Verification and Validation (V&V) technical assurancePromote sustainable design and developmentPromotion and encouragement of innovationCapitalization of the acquired know-how to share it across projectsQualifications/Experience:BSc or similar in Bachelor Degree (BEng, BSc) in a Numerate, Scientific or Engineering subject or Higher Education/equivalent training and experience.Chartered Engineer/Technician membership or equivalent professional status from a recognised institution10-15 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions, with at least 5 years experience as a Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) / Engineering Manager (CEM) in major infrastructure/transportation projectsProven capability in managing design interfaces and leading integration processes.Ability to motivate and drive multi-disciplinary engineering teams to work together and deliver high quality outputsExperience of working in an engineering production environmentA railway background, preferably in Building Services / Major StationsA clear understanding of our multi-disciplinary design approach and the delivery of projects to a high quality, throughout all design stage gatesStrong knowledge of engineering software tools including Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or ReluxGood knowledge of UK design standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and TfLExperience of Implementing BIM Level 2 Accreditation / Certification to ISO 19650 within a Business EnvironmentTrack record of mobilizing teams to ISO19650 on project kick offsExcellent understanding of all relevant BIM standards, design integration procedures and relevant legislationExcellent knowledge of railway infrastructure, systems, and operating requirementsExcellent management skills with the ability to support, mentor and animate a team of engineers and techniciansSignificant experience of developing and implementing strategies for projects and programmesExcellent knowledge of quality assuranceExcellent knowledge and understanding of rail engineering, including Network Rail and associated rail standards, and related regulations (CDM, CSM, RIR)Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliersExcellent engineering, analytical and problem-solving abilitiesWe are committed to our planet:In each project we design, engineer and operate we care deeply about the legacy were leaving behind.
