It also means being an outstanding place to work, in which our WeCare values and behaviours are visible to all and guide us in how we work together.Barts Health supports the Pregnancy Loss Pledge and commits to supporting their staff through the distress of miscarriage.Job overviewWe have the unique opportunity to offer a Pharmacy Technical Services Section Supervisor post to an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has NVQ BTEC Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science or a relevant Science degree, wishing to develop their technical and managerial knowledge through working in a busy Aseptic Services Unit. The unit provides Parental Nutrition, CIVAS, and a Sterile Manufacturing Service.Main duties of the jobYou will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and monitoring of the areas and assist the senior management team to oversee the delivery of our services.You will ensure the Quality Management System is maintained in accordance with license requirements as documented in procedures and policies, and aid development in response to changes in regulations and legislation, as well as improve production processes.You will work within operational parameters, agreed standard procedures, and systems of work, thus ensuring a high level of GMP and safety is maintained. You will undertake operational and technical projects to support quality improvement, operational efficiency, and cost reduction programs.This includes managing staff, processes, and equipment in the preparation of all products.The post includes line management responsibilities such as recruitment, performance reviews, sickness management, objective setting, appraisals, and attendance monitoring.Full training will be provided, with opportunities actively encouraged to develop your technical knowledge.You will join our dynamic team at an exciting and challenging time, continuing to develop the Aseptic Services Unit in line with the Aseptic Transformation Review.Working for our organizationBarts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country and a leading healthcare provider.Our vision is to be a high-performing group of NHS hospitals, renowned for excellence and innovation, providing safe and compassionate care.
