Youll be the bridge between customer needs, market potential and our clients global technology innovation, helping to shape a more efficient and sustainable industrial future.Our client specialise in industrial gases and engineering services that play a vital role in supporting the food and beverage industry. From extending shelf life through Modified Atmosphere Packaging to rapid chilling and freezing using cryogenic gases, our client helps producers improve food quality, safety and efficiency.They also operate a dedicated Food Technology Centre in Thame near Oxford, offering customers the chance to trial innovative solutions and stay ahead of the curve in processing and packaging technologies.What Youll DoAround 50% of your time will focus on strategic development and innovation:Own, design and evolve Market Sector Roadmaps, setting a clear and realistic strategic direction over a 25-year horizonBuild and manage a robust PSO (Product, Service & Offering) pipeline to drive application growth across the RUI business, ensuring alignment with internal teams and influencing global Linde Technology prioritiesAct as the sector and application expert, identifying new R&D opportunities and developing compelling business cases to support long-term growth and customer retentionLead development trials for new PSOs, securing senior sponsorship and necessary funding to move projects forwardChampion ideation, filtering and prioritising concepts to ensure team resources are focused on initiatives with the highest potential value and impactDeliver internal and external advocacy, promoting innovation and thought leadership across strategic, application-specific and sector-focused topicsProvide training and coaching to both colleagues and customers, deepening technical understanding and application know-howEstablish and nurture a strong external network by actively engaging with trade associations, Catapult Centres, OEMs, government bodies, and attending key conferences and industry eventsAct as a trusted expert advisor for marketing and communications initiatives, ensuring technical accuracy and impactSupport M&A activities by offering expert insight into applications technology and sector trendsThe other 50% of your time will be dedicated to:Drive new business growth by taking ownership of annual targets and working closely with the Bulk & OnSites Application Sales team across the UK and IrelandLead and support customer trials at key Technology sites, including the Food Technology Centre in Oxford, the Combustion Laboratory in Sweden and the Aquaculture Innovation Centre in Alesund, NorwayOversee operations at the Food Technology Centre in Oxford, ensuring the facility continually evolves to demonstrate best practices and showcase the full range of available technologies and PSOs within the RBUAct as a recognised technical authority, offering expert guidance on internal projects and advising on complex queries relating to gases, processes, equipment and materialsUtilise proprietary modelling tools (e.g. FROST, Winladel) to support customer projects and create demonstrable value in solution developmentRepresent our client in external technical forums, such as BCGA committees, providing informed input into industry changes and regulatory developments impacting gas applicationsWhat Youll BringA degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Process or similar)710 years of industry experience in applications or technology developmentStrong commercial awareness with proven stakeholder influence at senior levelsTechnical depth combined with creative thinking and a passion for innovationConfident communicator and sector advocate who thrives on making impact.Why Join Our Client?At our clients business, innovation isnt just a buzzword, its at the heart of everything they do.
