A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon in a highly reputable practice in the Callington area of Cornwall. The practice is seeking a dedicated professional who is keen to become part of a hardworking team and contribute to the outstanding care they have been providing for over 65 years. The Role: The role is full-time and includes participation in a Saturday rota. The successful candidate will be based at their three branches in Cornwall. There will be occasional out-of-hours inpatient care. The Candidate: The ideal candidate will be confident in all standard Small Animal Vet duties, able to take sole charge, and deliver excellent client service. A key part of the role is mentoring and guiding new and recent graduates, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. About the Practice: The practice has three small animal branches and two farm branches, with the majority of services based out of Callington. It is equipped to work up medical and surgical cases and maintains good relationships with local referral practices. The team comprises eight vets, with an excellent support team of nurses and receptionists. Weekly clinical meetings promote a strong team ethos, and the practice fosters a family atmosphere with social activities planned throughout the year. The practice is located in an area rich in history and outdoor activities, with beautiful beaches, coastal walks, and Dartmoor just a short distance away. For those who enjoy city life, Plymouth is within easy reach. Salary:The position offers a salary range of£44,000 – £60,000p/a depending on experience and qualifications. 6.6 weeks' paid holiday, including bank holidays. £1750 CPD Allowance per annum.
